Any replacement roof system will always be subject to a full survey. Although they can be fitted onto existing frames, those frames will need to be surveyed in order to establish that they are suitable and load bearing, being strong enough to cope with the new planned roof. A conversion of a glazed conservatory roof into a solid one requires official building regulations permission.
